Every year about 11,000 children are taken into local authority care without the consent of their parents.

The BBC figures for forced adoptions appear to apply to England only. That being the case, the total state abductions for the fiscal year 2014 was in excess of 30,000 for England. Alarming is the rate of snatches of newly born infants at 180 for the year. That I call savagery
Per head of population, England has now overtaken Germany
Why you rely on the BBC to provde “official figures” beats me.
